Lynette
"Rainy days are perfect for spacing out..."Lynette is the stoic half of the Twin Magicians of Fontaine. She avoids social interactions, letting her brother Lyney do the talking while she quietly watches while sipping tea.
Lynette is a run-of-the-mill Anemo support unit. She’s a free unit everyone obtains after reaching Adventure Rank 25. She’s incredibly beginner-friendly being easy to play and build, and can be slotted into many teams. Since she’s a jack-of-all, she’s a master-of-none.

Talents
Normal Attack: Rapid Ritesword
Normal Attack: "Performs up to 4 rapid strikes."
Charged Attack: "Consumes a certain amount of Stamina to unleash 2 rapid sword strikes."
Plunging Attack: "Plunges from mid-air to strike the ground below, damaging opponents along the path and dealing AoE DMG upon impact."
Lynette’s Normal Attack is the basic sword 4-strike combo.
The Normal Attack can be completely ignored unless Lynette is C6 and you wish to use her as an on-field dps.
Elemental Skill: Enigmatic Feint
"A maximum of 1 opponent can have Shadowsign at any one time. When this opponent gets too far from Lynette, the Shadowsign will be canceled."
"Arkhe: Ousia At specific intervals, Lynette will unleash a Surging Blade when she uses Enigma Thrust, dealing Ousia-aligned Anemo DMG."
Press
Energy Generation: 4 particles
The Press version should be used most of the time because it is quicker to execute.
Hold
Energy Generation: 4 particles
The only situations when to use the Hold version are when Lynette needs to chase down a target. Selecting a specific target within a crowd of enemies is difficult, so don’t waste time running in circles.
The Hold version is decent for quicker exploration. Although it’s very similar to Yelan’s Skill, Lynette’s is noticeably slower at around the speed of Alt Sprint characters like Mona and Ayaka.
A thing to note is Lynette’s built-in Health drain and heal. This mechanic can be generally ignored since it brings nothing to her kit other than just there as Fontaine’s gimmick.
Lynette’s Skill will be used often, but it can stay at lower levels since the majority of her team contribution comes from her Burst and Viridescent Venerere.
Elemental Burst: Magic Trick: Astonishing Shift
Bogglecat Box:
·Taunts nearby opponents, attracting their attacks.
·Deals Anemo DMG to nearby opponents at intervals.
·When the Bogglecat Box comes into contact with Hydro/Pyro/Cryo/Electro, it will gain the corresponding element and additionally fire Vivid Shots that will deal DMG from that element at intervals.
Elemental Absorption of this kind will only occur once during this ability's duration.
Magic Trick: Astonishing Shift is Lynette’s most important aspect of her kit and is everything good for an Anemo support. It taunts, swirls, and applies another absorbed element.
Lynette’s Burst is her highest priority Talent, but despite that, it’s not as important as other core Talents to level up on other characters.
Overall Talent Priority
Lynette has very low Talent needs, which is great for new players. She can perform her role with all Talents at level 1, so only upgrade when extra resources are available.
Passive Talents
Loci-Based Mnemonics
Loci-Based Mnemonics is a unique Utility Passive only functional in the waters of Fontaine. Since underwater exploration and combat aren’t affected by character levels, slotting a Level 1 Lynette into your diving team will make diving more enjoyable.
Sophisticated Synergy
Sophisticated Synergy is a simple team-wide Attack increase. Since Lynette is an Anemo swirl unit, she’ll likely be in a rainbow team with 3 other element types.
Props Positively Prepped
Props Positively Prepped is kind of a wasted Passive since Lynette isn’t designed to deal much damage on her own.
Rotation
Lynette has a simple rotation. She takes the field after a character who applies an element to enemies and wants their element swirled, uses her Skill, uses her Burst, then swaps to the next character.
Constellation
Constellation 1: A Cold Blade Like a Shadow
Lynette’s Constellation 1 introduces a welcomed Crowd Control aspect to her Skill. Just don’t expect much from it as it’s fairly weak compared to other Anemo pulls.
Constellation 2: Endless Mysteries
After unlocking Endless Mysteries, Lynette’s Burst will now fire 2 projectiles of the adsorbed element. This does not affect the Anemo damage in any way. It will target separate enemies if available.
Constellation 3: Cognition-Inverting Gaze
Constellation 3 is the typical Burst upgrade.
Constellation 4: Tacit Coordination
Tacit Coordination gives Lynette an extra charge of her Skill. This doesn’t change her playstyle but is nice for exploration.
Constellation 5: Obscuring Ambiguity
Constellation 5 is the typical Skill upgrade.
Constellation 6: Watchful Eye
Watchful Eye gives Lynette the option to be played as an on-field Anemo DPS.
It should be noted that she’s still better as an Anemo support and changing her to become a DPS greatly increases her build requirements. She’ll now need more Talent upgrade investments, and Attack and Crit stats on her artifacts. But for those that enjoy the character, this is a reason to play her on-field.
Constellation Final Thoughts
Weapons
5* Weapons
Elegy for the End
Sub Stat: 55.1% Energy Recharge
The Parting Refrain: (R1) "A part of the "Millennial Movement" that wanders amidst the winds. Increases Elemental Mastery by 60. When the Elemental Skills or Elemental Bursts of the character wielding this weapon hit opponents, that character gains a Sigil of Remembrance. This effect can be triggered once every 0.2s and can be triggered even if said character is not on the field. When you possess 4 Sigils of Remembrance, all of them will be consumed and all nearby party members will obtain the "Millennial Movement: Farewell Song" effect for 12s. "Millennial Movement: Farewell Song" increases Elemental Mastery by 100 and increases ATK by 20%. Once this effect is triggered, you will not gain Sigils of Remembrance for 20s. Of the many effects of the "Millennial Movement," buffs of the same type will not stack."
Lynette has low weapon needs, so almost anything will work. If you have her at C6 and want to play her as an on-field DPS, give her any 5* weapon as a basic stat-stick.
Otherwise, Elegy for the End is her best 5* support weapon. It gives her an awesome chunk of Energy Recharge and furthers her team-boosting abilities.
4* Weapons
Favonius Warbow
Sub Stat: 61.3% Energy Recharge
Windfall: (R5) "CRIT Hits have a 100% chance to generate a small amount of Elemental Particles, which will regenerate 6 Energy for the character. Can only occur once every 6s."
Lynette’s best 4* weapon is Favonius Warbow. It gives her Energy Recharge like Elegy, but instead of granting her team Elemental Mastery and Attack, she supports her team with additional energy.
Stringless
Sub Stat: 165 Elemental Mastery
Arrowless Song: (R5) "Increases Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst DMG by 48%."
Stringless gives Lynette more personal damage and stronger swirls. But since she’s primarily a support with low damage, especially for those that haven’t invested much into her Talents, the extra damage isn’t worth it.
Windblume Ode
Sub Stat: 165 Elemental Mastery
Windblume Wish: (R5) "After using an Elemental Skill, receive a boon from the ancient wish of the Windblume, increasing ATK by 32% for 6s."
Windblume Ode is Lynette’s best C6, on-field DPS 4* weapon. It gives her a nice chunk of Elemental Mastery for stronger swirls and gives a good Attack buff for the duration of her infusion.
Artifacts
Desired Stats
Sands of Eon
Energy Recharge is the best Sands. Lynette is Burst-dependent, so getting her Burst as often as possible is more important than stronger swirls an EM piece could give.
Goblet of Eonothem
An Elemental Mastery Goblet will make her swirls stronger, which is her large damage source.
Circlet of Logos
If Favonius Warbow is equipped, use a Crit Rate% Circlet. If not, use Elemental Mastery. Having more reliable extra energy from Favonius Warbow is more important.
Sub Stats
Lynette has very low stat requirements, making her excellent for new players. With her base kit, she only needs to focus on Energy Recharge and Elemental Mastery. If Favonius Warbow is used, try to get as much Crit Rate as possible.
Her stat requirements increase if C6 is unlocked and you wish to play her as an on-field DPS. Add Crit Dmg and Attack to her wanted sub-stats.
Viridescent Venerer
4-Pieces: "Increases Swirl DMG by 60%. Decreases opponent's Elemental RES to the element infused in the Swirl by 40% for 10s."
Regardless of the build, Viridescent Venerer is the one and only artifact set. The extra swirl damage and Resistance shred is too good to pass.
