Dan Heng - Imbibitor Lunae
"This is my original appearance, that of the Vidyadhara... Don't worry, I'm still Dan Heng, a descendant of the Vidyadhara, and also a member of the Nameless."Dan Heng - Imbibitor Lunae. Dan Feng. Daniel. Dan Heng 2. Neuvillette expy. Whatever you call him, Imbibitor Luane is the glow-up we’ve all been waiting for since the Interstellar Journey trailer at the game’s launch.
Imbibitor Lunae is the same Dan Heng we’ve been traveling with on the Express, just with the High Elder powers he’s kept hidden.
Imbibitor Lunae is a powerful AoE Imaginary damage dealer with two playstyles:
Slow and Powerful; unleashing his strongest attack every turn at the cost of 3 Skill Points.
Fast and Balanced; alternating turns with Basic Attack and his strongest attack.
Imbibitor Lunae is a pure damage dealer. He has no supportive abilities or self-survival capabilities, despite following the Path of Destruction. He has some of the highest damage potential in the game, but he needs a team dedicated to keeping him alive and supplementing Skill Points.

Skills & Traces
Basic Attack: Beneficent Lotus
Energy Gain: 20
Toughness Break: 30
The only special thing about the Basic Attack is that it’s a 2-hit combo. This will be covered later.
Imbibitor Lunae’s Enhanced Basic Attacks scale with the Basic Attack level. This makes it the most important Trace to level up. Max it out before the rest.
Skill: Dracore Libre
Enhancing Basic ATK "Beneficent Lotus" 1 time transforms Basic ATK into "Transcendence."
Enhancing Basic ATK "Beneficent Lotus" 2 times transforms Basic ATK into "Divine Spear."
Enhancing Basic ATK "Beneficent Lotus" 3 times transforms Basic ATK into "Fulgurant Leap."
When unleashing Divine Spear or Fulgurant Leap, 1 stack of "Outroar" is gained before every hit (starting from the fourth hit). Each stack of "Outroar" increases Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae's CRIT DMG by 12.0%, for a max of 4 stacks. These stacks last until the end of his turn." (Lv.10)
Energy Gain: 0
Toughness Break: 0
Imbibitor Lunae’s Skill enhances his Basic Attack into 1 to 3 levels depending on how many Skill Points are consumed. The only other important note is that it increases the Crit DMG for levels 2 & 3.
Upgrading the Skill only increases the Crit DMG granted to a level 2 or 3 Enhanced Basic Attack. The improvement isn’t much, so the Skill isn’t as important to upgrade.
Enhanced Basic Attack Lv. 1: Transcendence
Energy Gain: 30
Toughness Break: 60
Transcendence is barely better than the Basic Attack when compared with Skill Point costs. Gaining a Skill Point is better than consuming a Skill Point for this minor damage improvement. Never use Level 1 unless a little more damage is needed to end the battle against one last enemy.
Enhanced Basic Attack Lv. 2: Divine Spear
Energy Gain: 35
Toughness Break: Target - 90 / Adjacent - 30
Again, Divine Spear is barely better than the Level 1 version when compared with Skill Point costs. Save the two Skill Points for either other teammates or Imbibitor Lunae’s next turn. Level 2 should only be used to end a fight.
Enhanced Basic Attack Lv. 3: Fulgurant Leap
Energy Gain: 40
Toughness Break: Target - 120 / Adjacent - 60
Fulgurant Leap is Imbibitor Lunae’s most powerful attack and should be used the most often. It gives him the highest damage and toughness reduction per Skill Point, and the most energy per turn. If 3 Skill Points aren’t available at the start of his turn, use his Basic Attack. It’s better to wait than waste Skill Points on Level 1 or 2.
The table below compares Imbibitor Lunae's damaging abilities and the bonuses they gain per hit.
Attack | Skill Points |
Energy Gain |
Total Toughness Reduced |
Total a/v |
Hit-Combo | (Talent) DMG Bonus each Hit |
(Skill) Crit DMG Bonus each Hit |

Level 1 | -1 | 30 | 60% | 260% | 3-hits | 0% / 10% / 20% | - |
Level 2 | -2 | 35 | 150% | 500% | 5-hits | 0% / 10% / 20% / 30% / 40% |

12% (4th hit) / 24% / 36% / 48% |
Ultimate | +2 | 5 | 180% | 580% | 3-hits | 0% / 10% / 20% | - |
Ultimate: Azure's Aqua Ablutes All
A max of 3 Squama Sacrosancta can be possessed at any given time. Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae may consume an equivalent number of Squama Sacrosancta instead of Skill Points. Consuming Squama Sacrosancta is considered equivalent to consuming Skill Points." (Lv.10)
Energy Gain: 5
Toughness Break: Target - 60 / Adjacent - 60
Azure’s Aqua Ablutes All does a similar amount of damage to a Level 2 Enhanced Basic Attack. The largest boon is that it not only avoids the 2 Skill Points cost but gives Imbibitor Lunae the equivalent of 2 Skill Points.
These extra Skill Points give supporting teammates opportunities to use their own Skills. Especially for the Slow and Powerful playstyle. They can set up buffs, defenses, or heals without encroaching on Imbibitor Lunae’s Skill Point needs. Just remember to save 1 Skill Point before his next turn.
Imbibitor Lunae’s Ultimate hits decently hard and benefits from upgrades. But it has a high cost of 140 energy, so it’ll only be used once every three turns at most.
Talent: Righteous Heart
Similar to Imbibitor Lunae’s Skill, Righteous Heart gives extra damage depending on the number of hits in the attack. It’s important to note that the buff only takes effect after the 1st hit, not before like the Skill’s Crit DMG buff. For example, the Basic Attack is a 2-hit combo, meaning only the 2nd hit will gain a 10% DMG buff while the 1st gains nothing. Every preceding hit will gain 10% more damage than the previous.
Similar to the Skill, upgrading this only increases the DMG% buff. The increase isn’t significant, but it’s still important to level-up.
Overall Talent Priority
Because Imbibitor Lunae is a powerful damage dealer, and all his Trace upgrades increase his damage, it’s very important to get them as high as possible.
Technique: Heaven-Quelling Prismadrakon
Energy Gain: 0
Toughness Break: 60
Heaven-Quelling Prismadrakon is an initiating Technique. Entering battle while it’s active is required to gain the bonuses. Swapping characters will cancel the state and waste a Technique Point. Luckily, Imbibitor Lunae’s Technique is quite good. It deals a surprising amount of initial damage and gives the equivalent of 1 extra Skill Point.
Traces
Branch 1: Star Veil
Crit Rate: +2.7%
Star Veil helps with Imbibitor Lunae’s high energy cost, but it only gives 10.7% of the needed 140.
Branch 2: Aqua Reign
Imaginary DMG: +4.8%
Imbibitor Lunae is a pure damage dealer, so the minor 35% CC resistance isn’t helpful at all. He’d rather depend on teammates to cleanse and protect him rather than rely on this Trace.
Branch 3: Jolt Anew
HP: +6%
Jolt Anew gives Imbibitor Lunae a huge amount of Crit DMG% when attacking Imaginary Weak targets. This further encourages him to be used against enemies he has an elemental advantage over and can Break. Which has great synergy with some Lightcones and Relic sets.
Stat Only Branchs
Imaginary DMG: +3.2%
Eidolon
Eidolon 1: Tethered to Sky
Imbibitor Lunae’s first Eidolon essentially doubles the buff granted by his Talent. You can check the table’s “Talent DMG Bonus” column above if you’re curious how much E1 will grant each attack.
Eidolon 2: Imperium On Cloud Nine
Imperium On Cloud Nine is huge. If used correctly, Imbibitor Lunae can perform a combo of Level 3 -> Ultimate -> Level 3 all within the same turn. This is his best Eidolon and stopping point.
Eidolon 3: Clothed in Clouds
Eidolon 3 is the simple Basic Attack and Skill upgrade.
Eidolon 4: Zephyr's Bliss
When Imbibitor Lunae is played correctly, Zephyr’s Bliss gives him 100% uptime of max stacks on the Crit DMG% granted by his Skill, to every hit in all his attacks.
Eidolon 5: Fall is the Pride
Eidolon 5 is the traditional Ultimate and Talent upgrade.
Eidolon 6: Reign, Returned
Resistance Penetrations are rare. Being able to ignore 60% of an enemy’s imaginary resistance is huge for a powerhouse like Imbibitor Lunae. But it’s not game-changing like E2.
Eidolon Final Thoughts
Lightcones
5* Lightcones
Brighter Than the Sun
ATK: 635
DEF: 396
Defiant Till Death: (Si1) "Increases the wearer's CRIT Rate by 18%. When the wearer uses their Basic ATK, they will gain 1 stack of Dragon's Call for 2 turns. Each stack of Dragon's Call increases the wearer's ATK by 18% and Energy Regeneration Rate by 6.0%. Dragon's Call can be stacked up to 2 times."
Imbibitor Lunae’s signature Lightcone is his best-in-slot. It gives him everything he desires. The extra Energy Recharge is nice, but it still won’t reliably grant his Ultimate every 2 turns even with an ER% Rope and Sprightly Vonwacq.
On the Fall of an Aeon
ATK: 529
DEF: 329
Moth to Flames: (Si5) "Whenever the wearer attacks, their ATK is increased by 16% in this battle. This effect can stack up to 4 time(s). When the wearer inflicts Weakness Break on enemies, the wearer's DMG increases by 24% for 2 turn(s)."
On the Fall of an Aeon is Imbibitor Lunae’s best free Lightcone. It gives him a permanent Atk buff after each turn and an extra buff after inflicting a Weakness Break. Although Imaginary Break isn’t the strongest, Imbibitor Lunae inflicts high amounts of AoE Toughness Reduction. Which allows him to gain that extra buff consistently. And his Trace further encourages him to fight against Imaginary weak enemies.
The downside is only one copy is given per account. But it’s easily Superimposed to level 5.
4* Lightcones
Nowhere to Run
ATK: 529
DEF: 264
Desperate Times: (Si5) "Increases the wearer's ATK by 48%. Whenever the wearer defeats an enemy, they restore HP equal to 24% of their ATK."
Nowhere to Run is the battlepass Destruction Lightcone. It gives him a no-condition Atk% buff and some self-healing when defeating enemies. But Imbibitor Lunae would rather rely on teammates to keep him alive than this Lightcone.
The Moles Welcome You
ATK: 476
DEF: 264
Fantastic Adventure: (Si5) "When the wearer uses Basic ATK, Skill, or Ultimate to attack enemies, the wearer gains one stack of Mischievous. Each stack increases the wearer's ATK by 24%."
The Moles Welcome You gives a similar Atk% buff. It can stack up to 3 times with no expiration, but since Imbibitor Lunae’s Skill deals no damage, he’ll be capped at 2 stacks.
Relics & Ornament
Desired Stats
Body
Imbibitor Lunae needs a minimum of 70% Crit Rate to use his best Relic set. Go with a Crit Dmg% Body piece if this minimum has been reached with Traces, Lightcones, Relics, and Substats. Otherwise, use Crit Rate%.
Feet
Use Atk% Boots if going for the Slow and Powerful playstyle. Use SPD Boots if going for the Fast and Balanced playstyle.
Planar Sphere
Imaginary Dmg% is the best option. Atk% can be used if one isn’t available in the Relic Set of choice.
Link Rope
Atk% Rope is the best option since Imbibitor Lunae won’t gain his Ultimate in 2 turns even if wearing an Energy Recharge%.
Sub Stats
Hitting the 70% Crit Rate minimum should be the first goal. This will allow him to capitalize on his built-in Crit Dmg% buff and take advantage of the Rutilant Arena set bonus.
If SPD Boots are used, then reaching 134 speed is the next goal. If Atk% boots are used, don’t worry about speed at all.
After those two goals have been reached, focus on maximizing Crit Dmg% and Atk%.
Wastelander of Banditry Desert
4pc Set Effect: "When attacking debuffed enemies, the wearer's CRIT Rate increases by 10%, and their CRIT DMG increases by 20% against Imprisoned enemies."
Wastelander of Banditry Desert is Imbibitor Lunae’s best Relic set. It further encourages his match-up against Imaginary weak enemies, but it comes with some conditions. The only debuff Imbibitor Lunae can personally apply is Imprisoned when he weakness breaks. Therefore, a debuffer will likely be needed as a teammate. Luckily, Imbibitor Lunae has incredibly high Toughness Reduction values, and Imprisoned is used for the Crit Dmg% bonus this set provides.
Musketeer of Wild Wheat
4pc Set Effect: "The wearer's SPD increases by 6% and Basic ATK DMG increases by 10%."
Musketeer of Wild Wheat is a great secondary set for those who don’t want to farm a dedicated Wastelander set. It’s better for the Fast and Balanced build, but less for the Slow and Powerful.
Rutilant Arena
Rutilant Arena is the best Planar set. It gives him a nice 8% Crit Rate and increases all non-Ultimate damage by 20%.
Space Sealing Station
Space Sealing Station is a decent set, but it will require a minimum of 120 speed, making it better for the Fast and Balanced build.
Teammates
Mono Imaginary
The downside is the lack of options. Currently, the only other Imaginary units are Luocha, Welt, and Yukong. Luocha is a limited 5*, Welt is a permanent 5*, and Yukong doesn’t have the best synergy with Imbibitor Lunae since she has high Skill Point demands as well. Silver Wolf can be subbed into this team, but she is also a limited 5*.
Skill Point Gen Team
In the future, there might even be some units that revolve around Skill Point generation. Dan Heng - Imbibitor Lunae will welcome them as a core teammate with open arms.
