Mono Element

The Mono archetype is similar to the Hypercarry in that it relies less on elemental reactions and more on boosting the team’s raw damage. But Mono teams try to boost the entire team’s damage rather than an individual character.

Disclaimer

The example teams are not intended to be the best for that specific archetype. Some of them are strong, while others are just fun teams that will struggle in the highest levels of the Abyss. Some archetypes are weaker than others, as they don’t have a strong roster to draw from. But that doesn’t make them less enjoyable to play in the overworld.

We tried restricting each team to no more than two limited 5* units.

All the archetypes have multiple lineups that work. Use these guides to help you experiment with your own teams!

Mono Anemo

Faruzan is a core unit for Mono Anemo, since she’s one of the few sources of Anemo damage buff and Anemo resistance reduction. Zhongli is the another way.

Mono Cryo

Shenhe is a core unit for Mono Cryo teams, as she greatly buffs the damage of fellow Cryo units. And since Cryo is Swirl-able, using Kazuha with VV is the largest element boost a team can receive.

Mono Dendro

There currently isn’t any dedicated Dendro support, so Mono Dendro is fairly weak. Since Dendro can’t be swirled, Kazuha can’t be used. Zhongli is the only source of a Dendro buff.

Mono Electro

Sara is the dedicated support for Mono Electro. While she doesn’t provide any Electro resistance reduction, she provides a huge damage bonus and even Crit Damage at higher Constellations.

Mono Geo

Geo doesn’t have any natural damage-dealing reactions, so Mono Geo is actually one of its strongest teams. Gorou, for defense-scaling units, is the dedicated Geo support. Geo resonance is very powerful for itself, as it reduces enemy Geo resistance.

Mono Hydro

Hydro also doesn’t have a dedicated support, but it is a Swirl-able element and has strong off-field Hydro damage dealers. At higher Constellation, Xingqiu can act as a pseudo-dedicated support by decreasing enemy’s Hydro resistance, greatly increasing the teams’ overall damage.

Mono Pyro

Lyney is our first damage-dealer who naturally gets stronger in Mono teams. The more Pyro units, the more damage he deals. Plus it’s a Swirl-able element, so having Kazuha makes Mono Pyro with Lyney even better.
