Shatter
Shatter is an elemental reaction that technically isn’t an elemental reaction. Shatter happens when Geo or Blunt damage is inflicted on a Frozen target. The Frozen status is broken and the target takes a set amount of physical damage.
To achieve Shatter, Hydro and Cryo are required to trigger the Freeze reaction, and either a Geo or Blunt attack, which is usually a Claymore.
Shatter archetype teams are typically paired with Superconduct and Physical damage dealers. This is because the Shatter damage will increase with Superconducts Physical resistance reduction. And you might as well take advantage of the situation by running a Physical main DPS.
Disclaimer
The example teams are not intended to be the best for that specific archetype. Some of them are strong, while others are just fun teams that will struggle in the highest levels of the Abyss. Some archetypes are weaker than others, as they don’t have a strong roster to draw from. But that doesn’t make them less enjoyable to play in the overworld.
We tried restricting each team to no more than two limited 5* units.
All the archetypes have multiple lineups that work. Use these guides to help you experiment with your own teams!
Shatter
If using a Blunt character, they should be either Hydro or Cryo. Whichever element isn’t the 3rd slot. This will keep this archetype purely Shatter and it’ll make use of both resonances.

Noelle Shatter (Example Team)
Mika provides an attack speed buff, a little Cryo application, and healing.
Xingqiu provides a ton of Hydro, enough to keep up with two Cryo units.
Kaeya deals the most Cryo application used for the Freeze reaction.

Ice Pick
If using a Blunt character, they should be either Hydro, Cryo, or Electro.

Eula Shatter (Example Team)
Mona increases the team’s overall damage and provides off-field Hydro.
Lisa is the off-field Electro unit, triggering Superconduct on Frozen targets.
Eula is the main DPS and Shatter trigger. She is the strongest Physical damage dealer, so she’ll make great use of the Superconduct Physical resistance reduction.

Hailstorm
If using a Blunt character, they should, ideally, be an on-field Hydro DPS. This is because the Anemo will Swirl Hydro more often than it will Cryo, thus reducing Hydro elemental resistance. Unfortunately, there currently aren’t any that fit that bill.

Ningguang Shatter Stonestorm(Example Team)
Sucrose gathers enemies and Swirls hopefully Cryo. You want Cryo in this example team because Diona has a weaker elemental application than Xingqiu, so she could use the help.
Xingqiu deals off-field Hydro for Frozen.
Lastly, Ningguang takes the field and flings stones at Frozen enemies to trigger the Shatter reaction.

Runaway Fridge
The Runaway Fridge archetype uses the same concept as the Fridge archetype, except this team Shatters the enemies rather than keeping them Frozen.
If using a Blunt character, they should be either Hydro, Cryo, or Dendro.
